Why Hunter Started HC Residential

After six years working in residential construction — framing crews, project management, and site supervision — Hunter Carter saw the same frustration play out for buyer after buyer: hidden costs disclosed only at closing, construction timelines that slipped by months, and a total lack of transparency about what buyers were actually paying for.

In 2022, he founded HC Residential with a single promise: build move-in ready homes in the north metro at prices that are published, honest, and all-in. No change orders. No option upgrades that inflate the final number. No waiting eighteen months to see what you bought.

The model worked. HC Residential's first three homes in Rogers sold within weeks of completion, all to buyers who had toured the finished product, knew exactly what they were paying, and closed on time. Word spread among families, investors, and corporate relocators — and the company has grown every year since.

Hunter still walks every home before keys are handed over. He believes that a builder's reputation is built one closing at a time, and that the north metro deserves a construction company that is genuinely on the buyer's side.
